Inga is one of only a few pet behaviourists in the UK accredited as a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist. She is a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), an organisation recommended by the RSPCA .
Inga practises primarily throughout the South East of England but can also offer consultations further afield. She offers professional advice on both cats and dogs and has been helping owners with problem pets since 1998. She believes in treating animals with understanding, kindness and respect and only uses reward based and non confrontational techniques.
Inga has frequently appeared on local, national and regional radio (BBC Radio 4, BBC Southern Counties) as well as on TV. She is co-author of ‘The APBC Book of Companion Animal Behaviour’, having contributed a chapter on ‘The Importance of Positive Reinforcement’.
Inga was the Press and PR Officer on the APBC Committee for eight years. She is often asked to give advice on behaviour or comment on pet related news items to the media, e.g.
The Times. Inga is the behaviour expert for Cat World magazine, for which she writes a monthly feature, as well as contributing to the ‘Ask the Experts’ pages. She is also a behaviourist for the Pet Plan Insurance magazine ‘Pet People’ and is a regular contributor to ‘Pets International’ a pet trade magazine.
Inga has also given talks and presentations to veterinary staff, dog trainers and behaviourists on a variety of subjects such as: What is a Behaviour Counsellor?, Cat Aggression and Enrichment for Dogs.
